The bear cub is a minor character in Ginga Densetsu Weed.

His mother was killed by the third hybrid as he escaped. The cub is at first afraid of the dogs, but quickly warms up to Kagetora, Ken and Hiro, showing affection and friendliness. The dogs try to protect the cub from the giant hybrid bear, but the cub charges at the bear to protect Ken, only to have his throat ripped open by the monster. He dies in front of a tearful Ken. Hiro later buries his body.
