Hakuryu is a dog owned by Torakichi from one of the short stories in Ginga no Inutachi manga. Torakichi handed Hakuryu to the Japanese Imperial Army, believing that he would fight courageously in the battlefields of China, but instead he was beaten to death to become a fur coat for the Japanese pilots.
