Kuro is Hook's older brother. Kuro only appears in a flashback.

His owner abandoned Kuro and his brother Hook. Blue took them "under his wing" but when Kuro refused to steal food for him, he got killed in front of Hook by getting his stomach ripped open by Blue's comrades.
