Mr. Sugawara is Kenta and Yōsuke's dad. He appears time and time again in WEED Guidan, mainly to comfort the boys or as a background character.
Shion No Kaze
His wife suffers from cancer and has been hospitalized. He does not tell his sons about cancer, but Yōsuke gets to hear about the hospital nurses.
When he learns that his younger son being bullied, he would like to contact principal, but Yōsuke claims it only to aggravate the situation. Later, at the temple, he and Yōsuke see how Kenta fights against bullies. He initially forbade the older son from intervening in the situation, because Kenta wanted to begin to defend themselves.
