Ranmaru is Kobushimaru's son. His best friend is Zero, and he's like a brother to him.

When his father loses a fight against Unryu, father and son practice fighting every night, and in the morning, they pretend nothing happened. Ranmaru ends up killing Kobushimaru in the nightly fights.
